Arrive at Bengaluru airport and see Lalbagh
- Meet your driver at Bengaluru airport
- Drive about 35 km to your hotel in the city

- If you land early, walk through Lalbagh Botanical Garden and its Glass House before dusk

Bengaluru's two palaces, then the road to Mysuru
- Morning at Bangalore Palace, a Tudor-style house from the 1870s
- Visit Tipu Sultan's teak Summer Palace inside the old fort
- Leave by late morning on the Bengaluru-Mysuru road, about 140 km
- Reach Mysuru in the afternoon and settle in
- Evening walk in the palace area

Mysuru: Amba Vilas Palace, Chamundi Hill and Devaraja Market
- Morning at the Amba Vilas Palace, raised between 1897 and 1912
- Drive to Chamundi Hill, about 13 km out, or climb the staircase of about 1,000 steps
- Walk through Devaraja Market for flowers, spices and kumkum powder
- Time for silk, sandalwood and Mysore Pak
- On a Sunday or public holiday, see the palace lit up from outside
Mysuru to Coorg, with the Golden Temple at Bylakuppe
- Leave Mysuru after breakfast, bound for Coorg, about 120 km west
- Stop at the Namdroling Monastery's Golden Temple at Bylakuppe, near Kushalnagar
- Continue through Kushalnagar up to Madikeri
- Check in among the coffee estates
- At sunset, Raja's Seat for the view over the hills, if the sky is clear
Madikeri, Abbey Falls and a coffee estate
- Morning at Madikeri's fort and the Gaddige royal tombs
- Drive out to Abbey Falls, set among coffee and spice plantations
- Afternoon estate visit, to see how coffee is grown, picked and roasted
- Try Kodava dishes such as akki roti or kadumbuttu
- Dubare elephant camp is an optional extra if time allows (to be confirmed)
