Good to know

Long drives

Day 2 (Kochi to Munnar) and Day 4 (Munnar to Alleppey) are the longest, each roughly 4 to 5 hours by road, so early starts help

Hill road

The road to Munnar climbs in bends, and it is best driven in daylight, with extra care in heavy rain from June to August

Cool evenings

Munnar is above 1,500 metres and cool at night, with December and January lows around 12 to 14 degrees Celsius

Eravikulam

The national park is usually closed in February and March for calving, so check before relying on it
