Overview

This Nagarjuna Sagar Buddhist heritage tour spends two nights beside the Krishna dam in Nalgonda district, Telangana. It adds Buddhavanam, a Buddhist theme park, and a boat trip to Nagarjunakonda island in Andhra Pradesh. It suits history and nature lovers happy with two drives of about 3 hours from Hyderabad airport, and runs best from October to February.

Who it suits

Travellers who like ruins, carved stories and big water views, and accept a morning boat start. Less suited to anyone wanting nightlife or shopping.
