Coimbatore airport to Ooty
- Your driver greets you at Coimbatore International Airport
- Head uphill to the Nilgiris, a drive of roughly 88 km and about 3 hours
- Reach Ooty, check in and put on a warm layer against the cold evening air
- Take a stroll close to the hotel if you still have energy

Doddabetta, Ooty Lake and the tea hills of Coonoor
- Set out early for Doddabetta, about 9 km away, to visit the telescope house and take in the view from 2,637 m
- Stroll the terraces of the Government Botanical Garden and drop into the Rose Garden
- Paddle a pedal boat across Ooty Lake
- Spend the afternoon at Coonoor, 19 km off, among tea country and Sim's Park
- Add a train ride between Coonoor and Ooty if you wish (to be confirmed)
Ooty to Wayanad via Gudalur, with Edakkal Caves
- Start from Ooty early, descending via Pykara and Gudalur
- Enter Kerala over the Nadugani Pass
- Go through Sultan Bathery, the nearest town to Edakkal
- Walk up to the rock carvings at the Edakkal Caves, about 10 km from Sultan Bathery
- Finish at Kalpetta, about 116 km from Ooty in all, where you check in
Banasura Sagar, Soochipara Falls and Pookode Lake
- Begin at Banasura Sagar in Padinjarathara, some 20 km from Kalpetta, to look over the dam and the islands in its reservoir
- Go on to Meppadi and make the roughly 1.2 km walk to Soochipara Falls
- Turn back toward Kalpetta
- If time allows, end the afternoon at Pookode Lake

- Relaxed breakfast in Wayanad
- Drive down the nine hairpin bends of the Thamarassery ghat road
- Pause at the Lakkidi viewpoint beside the highway
- Reach Calicut International Airport, roughly 90 to 95 km from Kalpetta, for your flight
