At about 2,240 m, Ooty has chilly nights all year round, so bring a sweater whatever the month.

Ghat road

The drive up from Mettupalayam is a winding hill road, so allow about 3 hours from the airport.

Doddabetta

Clear mornings give the best view from the summit, so Day 3 starts there.

Rain months

Rain is heaviest in the monsoon months, so views and walks are less certain from July to September.
