Trip Facts

Activity LevelEasy. Short walks around temple precincts and a few steps at the falls; the main effort is three to four hours in the car on three of the four days.
What to PackLight cotton clothes that cover shoulders and knees, shoes that slip off easily, an umbrella for June to September and a warm layer for winter nights in Sringeri.
Local CustomsDress modestly and remove footwear at temple entrances. Dharmasthala asks guests to book rooms only through its own site, and the monastery at Sringeri changes its timings with events, so ask your guide before planning the day around them.
